This beautiful wooden bowl was hand-turned out of tamarind wood and detailed with fine turquoise stone decorative inlay. Handmade in Hawaii with incredible attention to detail by professional artist and bowl-turner Llosh Winne, this wood bowl is perfect for home and kitchen décor as a table centerpiece or a statement piece. This artisanal bowl is exceptionally rare. The black spalting in the wood is created naturally by the decay of the tree over time. The artist allows the wood to sit in order for the unique spalted coloration to be produced, then the wood-worker has to have the insight to turn the wood into a bowl at just the right time to attain the mix of brown, tan and black colors. This is one of the artist’s favorite pieces in his collection.
Polished with organic linseed oil and beeswax.
