This beautiful, decorative wood bowl was hand-turned out of Jacaranda wood, locally-grown and sustainably-sourced on the Big Island of Hawai’i by professional artist and bowl turner Llosh Winne. The artist hand-carved, sanded and polished the wood, maintained a natural, live edge, then decorated the bowl with real turquoise and lapis lazuli gemstone inlay. This bowl is special because of its black splating, which creates unique designs, shapes and lines in the wood, on both the inside and the outside of the bowl.
The bright blue turquoise and lapis lazuli gemstones add beautiful color to the wood and are a lovely contrast with the natural tan and brown colors of the jacaranda wood. Llosh Winne’s woodwork is thoughtfully-crafted, functional art, with charm that is at once both elegant and rustic.
Polished with organic linseed oil and beeswax, this bowl is food safe.
