This Milo wood vase was handmade on the Big Island of Hawaii by professional woodworker and artist Llosh Winne. The Milo wood is sustainably-sourced from a local Milo tree, grown on Big Island. This vase is polished and smoothed to perfection with the highest care and attention to detail, then decorated with Turquoise precious gemstone inlay. The artist maintained the natural bark around the edge of the vase. This functional wood vase comes with a glass insert to hold the flowers and water, protecting the wood.
Milo wood is a rare Hawaiian wood, rumored to have been used only by the chiefs in Ancient Hawaii. It was also grown around the temples in Tahiti and is considered a spiritual wood, connected to chant and prayer.
The turquoise gemstone inlay brings decorative color to the vase and offers a bright blue color contrast to the dark brown and tan of the Milo wood. This beautiful vase is a work of art, certain to beautify any setting.
Polished with organic oils.
8.25 inches tall and 4.75 inches wide
(Last photo is a different vase, just wanted to demonstrate what the vase looks like with flowers)
